Strategic Litigation: International Human Rights Legal Clinic

The International Human Rights Legal Clinic is a clinical course. This means that the Students enrolled in the course will be directly involved in litigation of human rights violations before national, european and international courts and bodies, and/or in the drafting of advocacy and policy-making reports on pressing human rights issues. Students will have the chance to work in close cooperation with lawyers and institutions. In particular, the clinic cooperates with SAR (Scholars at Risk) and ASGI (Association for Juridical Studies on Immigration).

The aim of the clinic is twofold. On one side, being an educational program, it offers to the Students enrolled the opportunity to deepen the knowledge of international and european law in relation to the protection of human rights and to put it in practice in the context of real cases. On the other side, through the strategic use of european and international mechanisms for the protection of human rights the International Human Rigths Legal Clinic contribute to the attainment of the fullest exercise of human rights.
