WELCOME TO THE OBSERVATORY

The Observatory on Italian Treaty Practice on Migration Related Issues is a project created within the framework of the 2019-2020 International Human Rights Legal Clinic of the University of Turin. The objective is to provide both the civil society and the experts with tools enabling a deeper understanding of the italian foreign policy on the specific issue of migration. The Observatory analyses the treaties which Italy is part of in a legal perspective, underlining the different forms, methods and procedures used (i.e. general framewrok agreements, simplified-form treaties, Memorandum of Understanding - MoU signed by national policy departments, etc).

Peter Benenson - Amnesty International Founder

"Only when the last prisoner of conscience has been freed, when the last torture chamber has been closed, when the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a reality for the world’s people, will our  work be done."
